Peace Scholarship Application Form
The Peace Scholarship was established in 1992 after members of the Friends and Mennonite churches attended high school senior awards programs and noticed that the military services presented many awards. Wanting to offer an alternative that reflected their longstanding peace witness, these historic peace churches—Friends and Mennonite, along with the Brethren—joined together to create a scholarship that would promote and advance their commitment to peace. Each year, awards ranging from $500 to $700 are given to support one or more students pursuing post–high school studies. The Brethren, Friends, and Mennonite congregations of the greater Howard County area sponsor the scholarship.
